English Summer Reading Assignments :::
Research shows that students who read continuously
throughout the year improve their reading skills. Therefore, all LT students will be
given a reading assignment that will be due the first week of
school.
Students enrolled in Prep and Accel will be expected
to choose one book from the All Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Preparatory and Accelerated
Level Students for 2012-13 found below, read it over the summer, and bring it to your English class
for the first week of the school year.
The assignment will be determined by the teacher and
may be anything from a
written journal to a presentation to the class. Your teacher may
provide time to work with the book in class should s/he choose. It would be helpful to take notes
on
your book of choice or, if you purchase the book, it is advised you
annotate it.
