Task
As a volunteer for D.A.R.E, your job is to organize and produce an informative pamphlet and presentation which includes statistics and hazards of drug use. This will insure that teens are aware of the dangers of drug abuse and will help them make healthy decisions. You will focus on one drug but also include a brief description of two other drugs in the same category.
Process
Be sure to include all of this information in your brochure:
- Statistical information pertaining to the prevalence of the drug and the correlated death rate
- Generally what type of people use the drug (gender, race, income)
- The tolerance level of the drug (Is it highly addictive?)
- The classification and two other drugs in the same category
- Why people use the drug
- Dangers of using the drug (both physical and psychological)
The oral presentation will include summarizing your prepared brochure from the points listed above.
Be creative! Make sure the brochure is both informative and interesting. Make teens WANT to read it!
