Illinois Consumer Education Proficiency Test :::
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: NO MORE ICEPT TEST
On July 14, 2010, Governor Quinn signed Senate Bill 3608. "This
Bill removes a provision requiring a consumer education proficiency test to be administered that
allows a pupil to be excused from the requirement that he or she have consumer education
instruction."
-
ANY STUDENT WHO DOES NOT HAVE THE CONSUMER EDUCATION CREDIT AS OF THE START OF SCHOOL MUST TAKE THE CONSUMER EDUCATION COURSE TO GRADUATE.
-
Students that have already taken the ICEPT test and passed it have earned credit for this course. Students that were planning on taking this test to exempt the course requirement no longer have this option.
