Test Preparation Classes :::

PSAT® Test Prep Class

  • The PSAT Test Prep Class can improve a students’ chances of becoming Commended or National Merit® Scholars by providing them with the opportunity to best prepare for the test.
  • This course is geared to top students in the Junior class. 
  • It is only offered at the start of the school year (early September) because the test takes place on October 15, 2011.
  • Registration forms are available in the North Campus Testing Office, Room 128. 
  • The registration fee includes the cost for the class and the cost for the PSAT® test. 
  • Return the completed registration form and fee for PSAT® Test Prep to the Testing Office.
  • Dates for the LTHS MONDAY/WEDNESDAY classes from 6:00-8:30 p.m. are:

             September 19, 21, 26, 28

             October 3 and 5

(PLEASE NOTE that the class time for the September 19 and October 3 class are longer-6:00-9:00 p.m.)

  • Dates for the LTHS TUESDAY/THURSDAY classes from 6:00-8:30 p.m. are:

             September 20, 22, 27, 29

             October 4, and October 6

(PLEASE NOTE that the class time for the September 20 and October 4 class are longer-6:00-9:00 p.m.)


ACT® Test Prep Class

  • All Juniors are encouraged to enroll. 
  • Register for the ACT® Test Prep Class in the Testing Office, room 128 North Campus.
  • Class highlights include:
         •   familiarizing students with each part of the ACT®
         •   reviewing key concepts
         •   learning strategies for tackling difficult questions
         •   practicing on several recently released ACT® tests  
  • All class sessions are taught by LTHS staff members.  
  • The three Test Prep class options that are available to students at LTHS include:
           ACT® Test Prep Class  
              offered after school or in the evening in the fall and winter  
              class meets twice a week for 2 hours                                                                                                     
              total of 8 sessions
              taught by LTHS certified staff with training in Test Prep
            ACT®/PSAE® Prep Class   
              offered after school in the winter  
              class meets twice a week for a total of 21 sessions 
              designed to meet the needs of students with IEPS  
              taught by LTHS certified staff with training in Test Prep
          Study Hall ACT® Test Prep       
              provided to all juniors enrolled in second semester Study Hall   
              class meets twice a week during study hall 
              total of 16 sessions
              taught by LTHS certified staff with training in Test Prep
