Prairie State Achievement Exam (PSAE)
- The PSAE® is 2-Days of testing for any student in their 3rd year of high school.
- Day 1 of the PSAE® consists of an ACT® exam, NO writing beginning April 2012.
- The ACT® scores from the PSAE® can be reported to colleges at no cost to the student or parent.
- Students will pre-register at school prior to testing; no separate registration through the ACT company is required for this test.
- Day 2 of the PSAE® is comprised of two WorkKeys® assessments (Applied Mathematics and Reading for Information) and an ISBE-developed Science Assessment.
- The Prairie State Achievement Exam (PSAE®) is a state achievement test administered to all juniors in Illinois public high schools.
- Students must take the PSAE® in order to fulfill a graduation requirement.
