Confirmation Notices
All confirmation notices for summer academic classes were emailed home on March 18, 2008.
| Please note: We have heard that some email servers have routed the confirmation emails to various folders (bulk, junk, spam, etc.). If you submitted an application for any camp in the activity program and have not heard back from us, please check all of your email folders. If you are missing a confirmation email, please contact us. |

2008 SUMMER ACADEMIC PROGRAM REGISTRATION INFORMATION

All registrations for 2008 Summer Academic Courses (with the exception of Driver Education) will be completed online.

In-district registration is March 3-7, 2008.

Payment is needed to ensure enrollment in the class.

Open in-district registration and out of district registration will begin after initial class rosters have been finalized.

If courses are filled and have a waitlist, open registration will not begin until the waitlist is exhausted.

You will need your LTHS identification number to register for a summer academic course. Letters were mailed home on Friday, February 22, 2008 to all the parents of incoming ninth grade students informing them of their child's Lyons Township High School identification number.

2008 Summer Academic Program notes and check list
PLEASE NOTE the following:
- Courses will be offered based on sufficient enrollment, facility, and teacher availability.
- A student may be dropped from a course with a grade of “WF” and receive no credit if he/she...
a. accumulates any unexcused absence;
b. accumulates more than one excused absence per semester; and/or
c. accumulates more than two tardies per semester.
- A student not conducting himself/herself in an appropriate manner may be dismissed from the Summer Academic Program with a grade of WF.
- A student who drops a course prior to the midpoint of a semester will not receive a refund and will receive a grade of W. A student who drops a course after the midpoint of a semester will not receive a refund and will receive a grade of WF.
- Grade reports will be mailed home within two weeks of the close of the Summer Academic Program.
- Teachers are encouraged to keep both parents and students informed of students’grade status. A failing grade may be given to a student even if no failing notice has been mailed nor received.
- Counselors DO NOT register students for the summer academic program!
- If the student has a 504 accommodation plan, parents must contact the Summer Program Director to receive services.
- Students who need to make up classes due to failures may register for the Summer Academic Program immediately at the end of the semester and at Arena Registration
- Signed technology contracts need to be mailed in and on file for access to technology during summer courses
