Reading
The Abraham Lincoln Illinois' High School Readers' Choice Award List for 2013 has just been released. This award, sponsored by the Illinois School Library Media Association, is designed to encourage high school students to read for personal satisfaction and become familiar with authors of young adult and adult books. Stop in North or South Campus Library to check out the books on this list . Look for announcements in the fall regarding contests and prizes for LT students who participate in the Abe Lincoln Readers' Program.

Author Wows Classes at South Campus!
Students in several South Campus English classes were treated to a special day with young adult author Michelle Madow on Tuesday, March 20th. During her presentations, she read the prologue of her first novel, Remembrance, and talked about the process of writing a book and getting it published. After answering audience questions, she signed copies of her book and Remembrance bookmarks. A drawing was held each period for a copy of either Remembrance or Vengeance (book 1.5 in her Transcend Time Saga). Copies of her books are availble for check-out in the library.
