Summer Program Philosophy
Lyons Township High School District 204 offers a Summer Program in order to fulfill the following principles of its Mission Statement:
- making dedicated teaching and meaningful learning the highest priority;
- creating an atmosphere of encouragement;
- providing comprehensive academic and co-curricular options;
- fostering full intellectual, physical, moral, and aesthetic growth; and
- encouraging the lifelong learning process.
Extending the Lyons Township High School curriculum to its students and to the community, the Summer Program provides opportunities for accelerated academic growth, ability level transitions, personal enrichment, basic skill reinforcement and remediation, middle school to high school transitions, community service, and community connections.
SUMMER ACADEMIC CLASSROOMS
SUMMER ACADEMIC CLASSROOMS can be found by clicking here . Please note, for courses with multiple sections (Consumer Economics, Driver Education, Foods and Nutrition, Geometry, Keyboarding, Physics, World History), class rosters will be posted in the main entrance of the building at which the course is housed. Please have students arrive early on the first day of class to find their classroom location.
Registration for LEARN TO SWIM: BABIES AND BEYOND and LEARN TO SWIM: PRIVATE LESSONS will take place on Friday, May 29, 2009 in the North Campus Pool Foyer between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Lessons will be available on a first come, first served basis. Please refer to the Summer Program Guide for program information.
THE LTHS SUMMER PROGRAM WEBSTORE WILL REOPEN AT 12:00 NOON ON MONDAY, APRIL 13, 2009. ALL REGISTRATIONS TAKEN BEGINNING AT 12:00 NOON ON MONDAY, APRIL 13, 2009 WILL BE PROCESSED ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS. A LIST OF CLOSED CLASSES/CAMPS WILL BE POSTED DURING THE WEEK OF MARCH 30, 2009.
