David Hasselhoff, international star of stage and screen and 1970 graduate, began his acting career at age seven. During his junior year at LT, he was awarded an apprenticeship with the Troup of American College Players. He credits this and his early experience in LT musicals and choir as instrumental to his current success as an actor. Hasseihoff, the star and an executive producer of the television series Baywatch, is seen by one billion viewers in over 140 countries each week. Now in its fifth season, Baywatch is the most widely watched show in television history. Earlier acting credits include "The Young and the Restless" (1975-82), a People's Choice Award for his work on "Knight Rider" (1982-86), "The Love Boat" (1980), "Different Strokes" (1984), "Bridge Across Time" (1985), "Perry Mason" (1988), "The Pat Sajak Show" (1989), among others. In addition to appearing in television movies and miniseries, Hasselhoff has become an international singing sensation. He has released five albums that have sold over six million copies and has headlined three sold out European concert tours. Hasselhoff frequently comforts terminally ill children in hospitals. He organized Race for Life, a charity that raises money for children who are terminally ill and hospitalized throughout the world.
