LTHS awarded Bright Red Apple Award
Lyons Township High School was recently awarded a 2007 Bright Red Apple Award for educational excellence by SchoolSearch, an educational research and consulting firm that publishes online rankings of school systems. All school districts throughout Illinois are considered for the award. LT is one of 84 out of 872 Illinois school districts to receive the award presented to the top 5 percent of schools in the state.
Evaluations are based on five main categories: academic performance, pupil/teacher ratio, operating expenditure per pupil, educational level of teachers and average teacher salary.
SchoolSearch works with major companies by providing their relocating families with school information so that those families can make informed choices for the schooling of their children.
