Chinese student succeeds in speech contest :::

Lyons Township High School world languages students are no strangers to top honors in annual language exams. Every year, LT linguists participate in national exams developed, written and scored by nationwide committees comprised of high school and college professors belonging to their respective foreign language professional organization. While each organization categorizes and classifies their top scorers differently, LTHS linguists consistently place among the top. Though the program is only a few years old, students enrolled in Chinese are seeking success in a variety of ways. Known for its difficult pronunciations and thousands of characters, Chinese is not an easy language to master. The Chinese Speech Contest allows students to demonstrate their skills and share their experiences with the language.
