LT Latin students find success at convention
Lyons Township High School’s M. Brogan, sophomore and W. Podlewski, sophomore, dressed as Antony and Cleopatra while J. Hogan, junior dressed as Neptune at the annual Illinois Junior Classical League state convention. Sixteen LT Latin students served as delegates to the convention in Tinley Park. They competed in Latin academic contests such as derivatives, grammar and vocabulary, as well as more entertaining, but no less challenging, competitions such as spirit, sculpture, and talent. Eleven of the students returned with awards, and LT finished in 4th place overall. Top finishers will go on to compete in the Certamen finals in late April at LTHS.
