The LTHS Relay for Life Garage Sale raised $5,521.63 to help fund
cancer research.
The LT Corral was filled with thousands of donated household items, gently used clothing, books, toys, videos and more, most of which were sold for less than $1.
More than 7,000 VHS videos, most still in their original wrappers, were very popular among shoppers. Five antique irons sold quickly, and a Mardi Gras King’s chair from the 1990 New Orleans Mardi Gras was perhaps the most unusual item sold.
Items that didn’t sell were donated to local charitable organizations. Leftover bedding, coats and scarves were donated to a local shelter.
