Student film festival a success

 Lyons Township High School hosted its first-ever student film festival, M.A.N.E. (Media Arts Night of Entertainment), on Thursday, May 28.  Approximately 100 students, parents and community members attended the event and were invited to enjoy appetizers and refreshments prepared by Chef’s class students before the screenings began.

 The program was presented in two parts: film screenings and question and answer sessions with the filmmakers.  Afterwards, judges evaluated the works and the following winners were selected:

First place: “The Last Time” by T. DiBiase, junior, Experimental category
Second place: “Obama’s New Suit” by P. Leonard, senior; B. Kabialis, senior; D. Galin, senior; Cut Paper Animation category
Third place: “Noise” by A. Jarosz, sophomore, Drama category

 The winning students received a gift card.
