  • La Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica, sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese, is an honor society designed to recognize high student achievement in Spanish and Portuguese and to promote a continuity of interest in Hispanic Studies.
    To become a member one must:
    1. be currently enrolled in Spanish IIIP or above.
    2. have received the following grade for the previous semester of Spanish:
    • an A for those enrolled in a P level class
    • an A or a B for those enrolled in an A or H level class.
    3. have a cumulative average of A- in Spanish (based on the P scale).
    4. have an over-all GPA of B- or higher (based on the P scale).
    5. have spent at least one full semester at Lyons Township High School before becoming eligible.
  • The application deadline has passed. The application was due Tuesday, January 14th.
    For those who are accepted to the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica there will be an induction ceremony Tuesday, March 3 at 7pm in the PAC. A one-time fee of $5.00 is charged by the national organization once a student has been accepted. DO NOT INCLUDE FEE WITH APPLICATION.
