Application Information
Complete all sections of the application; highlighting how you believe you demonstrate the four pillars of NHS. You will officially submit your application here. The deadline to submit your completed application is FEBRUARY 28, 2023 - no late applications accepted.
Teacher/Coach/Sponsor Recommendations
You are required to have three recommendations from LT faculty members in support of your application into the National Honor Society. One of the three recommendations can be from an LT Coach or Sponsor or three teachers. If you have a coach or sponsor outside of LT, you may list them in the activities section or in your character statement, but all recommendations should come from LTHS Faculty. We recommend you contact faculty members and provide them with the link (www.lths.net/NHSRec) so they may submit a recommendation on your behalf. Note: this link does not work for students.
Volunteer Hours
You are required to have a minimum of 10 service hours during your high school career to apply. Service hours can be completed through LT or outside organizations. Simply list your hours on the application; we may follow up to verify volunteer hours.
NHS Selection and Induction Ceremony
Students that submit completed applications will be notified of their acceptance via US Postal Service mail on or before April 1, 2023. The National Honor Society Induction Ceremony date will be announced later.
If selected to be a member of NHS as a junior (Class of 2024), the membership expectations are to:
