Report an Absence

  • Regular daily attendance is important to your student's educational growth. To report an absence, you must call the the school before 9am on the day of the absence.

    Please be prepared to provide the following information:
    1. Student's name 
    2. Student's ID number
    3. Date of absence
    4. Reason for absence
    5. Your relationship to student

  • I test positive for COVID-19

    1. Report illness using online COVID reporting form
    2. Call attendance line
    3. Stay home - whether or not you are having symptoms

    Documentation Required to return to LTHS

    • Health Office clearance or
    • IDPH/CCDPH clearance letter

  • I am having COVID-19 symptoms

    1. Report illness using the COVID-19 Reporting form
    2. Call attendance line
    3. Stay home!

    Documentation Required to return to LTHS

    • Negative COVID-19 diagnostic test* or
    • Submit medical documentation of an alternative, non-COVID diagnosis

    Test results and medical documentation should be sent to studentcovid@lths.net

    *A laboratory based NAAT COVID-19 test (SARS CoV-2 PCR test) is required during high levels of community transmission.

  • I have had close contact* with a COVID-19 case

    • IF I AM FULLY VACCINATED: 
      1. Report close contact using the COVID-19 Reporting Form
      2. No quarantine is necessary and you may attend school as long as you remain asymptomatic

    • IF I AM NOT FULLY VACCINATED:
      1. Report close contact using the COVID-19 Reporting Form
      2. Call attendance Line
      3. Stay home!
      4. May return to LT after quarantine completed and cleared by LT Health Office

  • *Close contact is defined as being within 6 feet of a COVID-19 positive case for at least 15 minutes over a 24-hour period. 
    Exception: In a classroom, this excludes students who were within 3-6 feet if both individuals were properly masked.
