Types of Board Meetings
Regular Board Meetings
You are invited to attend regular Board meetings, generally held on the third Monday of each month at 7:30pm in the Board Room (Room 103), North Campus, 100 S. Brainard Ave., LaGrange. Formal action is taken only at Board meetings for which advance notice is given.
Committee meetings are working sessions in which specific topics are discussed in greater detail. These meetings are open to the public and include a variety of reports and presentations made to the Board. The Board does not take action at these meetings and complies with the Open Meetings Act before taking action. Committee meetings are generally held at 7:30am on week days during the week prior to each month’s Regular Action Meeting, and are posted accordingly.
Special or Committee of the Whole Meetings
Special Meetings are called by the Board President to discuss and vote on business that may arise in between regular Board of Education Meetings. Committee of the Whole Meetings, provide opportunities for Board Members to discuss issues under consideration without voting on action items.
