Fall Sports Information
ALL FALL SPORTS BEGIN ON MONDAY, AUGUST 12, 2019All students wishing to participate in athletics must have a current Physical and complete an Athletic Eligibility Form. This form must be presented to the coach or sponsor of the activity on the first day of tryouts. Do NOT mail the form to the school. The Athletic Department requires each participant to complete a new form for each sport season. This insures the safety of the athlete, and also updates the athletic eligibility files. Forms can also be picked up in the Athletic Office at North Campus – Room 170 or by clicking FORMS.
Boys Cross Country is a "No-Cut" sport. The season begins with a mandatory practice on Mon, Aug 12 for all students. Athletes that miss practice will be removed from the team. Meet at South Campus Track from 7-9am. Wear a t-shirt, shorts and running shoes and prepare for a 3 mile run. To prepare for the fall season most of our team members will join the Summer Running Program. If you have questions, contact Mike Danner.
Girls Cross Country is a "No-Cut" sport. Practice begins Mon, Aug 12 from 3:30-5:30pm for all students. Meet in the South Campus Fieldhouse. Dress in workout gear and bring your own water bottle. To prepare for the fall season most of our team members will join the Summer Running Program. If you have questions, contact Alex Lyons.
Football is a "No Cut" sport. Practice for freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors begins on Mon, Aug 12. Report to the South Campus gyms - all levels will practice from 4-7:30pm. Bring shorts, t-shirt, football cleats and running shoes. You must have a current physical on file in order to participate. If you have questions, contact Dan Hartman.
Boys Golf is a "Cut" sport. Bring all needed paperwork to our meeting/first day of tryouts on Aug 12 at 9am in the NC Fieldhouse. Girls Golf is a "Cut" sport. Bring all paperwork to the mandatory team tryout meeting on Aug 8 at 10am at the NC Fieldhouse. Boys Soccer is a "Limited" sport. Players should report to the North Campus Vaughan Gym lobby on below dates. Bring all paperwork, a ball, shin guards, cleats, gym shoes, water and a lock. Schedules will be given out on the first day. Freshmen: Aug 13 (3-5:30pm), Sophomores: Aug 14 (8-10:30am), JV: Aug 12 (8-11am), Varsity: Aug 12 (8-11am and 3-5pm). Girls Swim/Dive is a "Limited" sport. All swimmers/divers should report to the South Campus pool, Mon, Aug 12 from 8am-12pm. Bring your suit, goggles, cap, locks, water bottle and all signed paperwork. All forms needed on the first day can be found on our team webpage: www.lths.net/GirlsSwim. Students must be present for tryouts to be considered for inclusion on the team. If you have questions, contact the athletic office.
Girls Tennis is a "Cut" sport. Sophomores and freshmen will meet on Tue, Aug 13 from 9-11am at South Campus (SC) Tennis Courts. JV and Varsity will meet on Tue, Aug 13 from 1-3pm at the SC tennis courts. If you have questions contact the Athletic Office at 708-579-6393
Girls Volleyball is a "Cut" sport. All students will meet for tryouts on Mon, Aug 12 from 8-11am at the NC Fieldhouse. Practice times for the remainder of the week will be announced on the first day of tryouts. Tryouts consist of skill and drill practices as well as physical conditioning: dress appropriately. All forms, available on www.lths.net/GirlsVB, must be turned in to coach on the 1st day of try-outs. Athletes must be present for tryouts in order to be considered for inclusion on the team.
