National Honor Society (NHS)

  • NHS is designed to foster a sense of community amongst academically motivated students as well as an avenue to be seen as leaders and promote community service within the school and community.  The organization hopes to exemplify these four pillars: scholarship, service, leadership and character.

National Honor Society is a nationwide organization with a select membership. Students who qualify are selected by the National Honor Society Selection Committee. Students display leadership, character, service and scholarship.

Membership in NHS is contingent on an application process. Once you are accepted as an NHS Member, you should continue to demonstrate leadership during your senior year and partake in a minimum of 25 community service hours, as well as partake in our Day of Service. You are required to log your hours in as they are completed so they can be accounted for. Members who volunteer for more than 100 hours within the year are eligible for Presidential Service Awards.

Feel free to reach out to the sponsors if you have any questions.
