Career Internship
about the program
The career internship course is designed as a capstone, professional experience for Junior & Senior students to gain workplace experience in a career field of interest. Students enrolled in this program will be placed at a local business or organization and engage in on-site, work-based learning where they develop their career skills in an authentic job setting. Students are expected to intern for approximately 4 hours each week. Students will meet with their Internship Teacher on Wednesdays to complete class assignments. Students will be observed at their workplace by their Internship Teacher and their Supervisor, and will receive evaluations that contribute to their final grade. The student is responsible for transportation to and from their workplace.
