2023-24 School Year
LTTV 2023-2024 AWARDS SUMMARY
In the 2023-2024 school year, LTTV students participated in several media festivals and competitions.
In October, LTTV students won the Award for Cinematic Excellence at the 2023 Student Silent Film Festival for their film “Pink Lady”. The festival was held at the Tivoli Theatre in Downers Grove.
In April, LTTV students were nominated for two Student Production Awards from the Chicago/Midwest chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for Live Sports and for Talent.
Also in April, at the 31st Annual Midwest Media Educators Association Video Festival, LTTV did very well.
We competed against students from over 40 other high schools in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. There were 18 categories of competition with 429 total entries. Here are the category winners from LTTV:

In the category of Comedy (out of 20 entries): 4th place for “Surrogate” by Maddox McDonald

In the category of Commercial (out of 41 entries): 4th place for “TAP Water” by Lilly Dodge, Drew Grech, and Annie Price.

In the category of Live Event Sports (out of 21 entries): 2nd place for “Boys’ Varsity Basketball” by Michael Badrov, Elliott Marcoux, Luke Martin, and Maddox McDonald

In the category of Music Video (out of 29 entries): 2nd place for “Golden Hours” by Maddox McDonald, Maeve McAuliffe, and Ian Enselman

In the category of School Promotion (out of 42 entries): 2nd place for “Rock-a-thon 2024” by Ethan Meuer, and 4th place for “House at Pooh Corner” by Jack Crandall.

In the category of Social Media (out of 15 entries): 2nd place for “Leo and Ethan Show” by Ethan Meuer.

In the category of Talk Show (out of 13 entries): 1st place for “Tusken Radio” by Angus Allan, Michael Badrov, Drew Grech, and Owen Grech and 3rd place for “Wednesday Night Lights” by Elliott Marcoux, Luke Martin, and Sebastian Dimter.

In April, Ben Cunin won a Crystal Pillar from the Chicago/Midwest chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for his commercial “LEGO - The Purrfect House”.
Also in April, at the 30th Annual Midwest Media Educators Association Video Festival , LTTV did very well.
