BREADCRUMB

Hall of Fame

The Hall of Fame recognizes alumni and friends of LT who have brought great credit and distinction to the school through their accomplishments or service in the arts, athletics, business, education, public service or other professions. Inductees also provide students with role models who know and share the same traditions of our community and its school system.  All 65,000 alumni are eligible for induction into the Hall of Fame.

Hall of Fame Selection Process

Hall of Fame inductees are selected through a committee-based voting process. The selection committee is comprised of representatives from across the Lyons Township High School community, including members of the Alumni Board, the Superintendent, the Principal, the previous year Hall of Fame Inductee, current LTHS teachers who are also LTHS alum, the current Student Council President, student representative(s) to the Board of Education, and the LTHS Historian.
The committee receives voting guidelines from the Lyons Township High School Community Relations Team. Nominee files are provided in advance to support a thorough review. Committee members are asked to rank nominees from one through eight and may submit comments indicating whether they believe one, two, or all three of their top-ranked candidates should be inducted.
This process follows an annual timeline. Nominations are typically due March 1st, with committee voting occurring in June. Final selections are identified by July. New Hall of Fame members are formally inducted during Homecoming Weekend.
