Board Meeting Dates & Information

You are invited to attend regular board meetings. In most cases, regularly scheduled board meetings take place on the third Monday of the month, starting at 7:00 p.m. Meetings generally take place at the LT North Campus (100 S. Brainard Avenue, La Grange). Room location is provided at the top of each agenda which is posted on Friday before the meetings.

Formal action is taken only at board meetings for which advance notice is given. When necessary, special, adjourned, or committee meetings are held throughout the year.

All meetings are open to the public. Items concerning personnel, school security, negotiations or litigation and other subjects permitted under the Open Meetings Act are discussed in closed session. However, all action is taken in open session.

Committee Meetings of the Whole are working sessions in which specific topics are discussed in greater detail. These meetings are open to the public and include a variety of reports and presentations made to the board. The board does not take action at these meetings and complies with the Open Meetings Act before taking action. 

Committee meetings are generally held at 6:30 p.m. on the first Monday of the month, and are posted accordingly. 

Special meetings are called by the board president to discuss and vote on business that may arise in between regular Board of Education meetings.

The Parent Teacher Advisory Behavior Intervention Committee (PTABIC) is a committee of the Board of Education that meets quarterly. The committee consists of 2 Board Members, D204 Administrators and Staff, Parents/Guardians and Alumni. Per School Code, the district must establish and maintain a parent-teacher advisory committee to discuss topics such as student behavior, attendance, school searches and bullying prevention, among other topics. Meeting information is posted to the public in compliance with OMA. All meetings are held in the North Campus Board Room (103) and start at 7:00 a.m.
