COVID-19 Updates

  • The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) released updated COVID-19 prevention guidance for schools, which the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) quickly adopted, as well. Please click here if you are interested in reading the complete guidance from IDPH. Our leadership team will review this latest update and continue our planning efforts for the upcoming school year in order to determine the potential impact to our health and safety protocols. In the meantime, please know we will be returning to a pre-pandemic, 8-period, full day of instruction for all students starting Thursday, August 19, 2021.

The most recent guidance from the CDC, IDPH and local health agencies continue to stress the importance of getting vaccinated. If your child has been vaccinated, please submit their completed vaccination card to studentcovid@lths.net.

All families will receive a communication from LT Principal, Dr. Tyrrell, which will provide additional details and reminders about the upcoming school year. Looking forward to an outstanding 2021-22 school year!
