Driver Education

  • Driver Education is dedicated to developing the safest, most courteous, knowledgeable, and skillful drivers. The information and skills learned in Driver Education will help students maneuver successfully in the complex environment in which we drive today.

Prerequisite

  • Each student attending any public or non-public high school in the District must receive a passing grade in at least 8 semester courses during the previous 2 semesters prior to enrolling in the Driver Education program. Students should obtain a driving permit from the Illinois Secretary of State office prior to the 1st day of class. The Secretary of the State of Illinois does not allow LT to give students their permit application any earlier than 30 days prior to the start of the Driver Ed course.
