The value of a one-to-one private lesson has a tremendous influence on the proper skill development and musical growth. Individual instruction is the best way to help a developing musician fulfill his or her potential. Students may be excused from orchestra class once a week to work with a private instructor. Fees are determined by each instructor, and range between $25-30 for 30 minutes, and payment is made directly to instructor. While private lessons are not required, they are highly recommended.

Students contact the private teacher directly to arrange lesson times and for their studio policies. Mr. Matthews and Ms. Ewing are not involved in the private lesson process beyond allowing it to happen during orchestra class periods. While our students are very responsible, we ask that they are respectful of the time of the private teachers, and let them know of sickness and absences in a timely manner.
