When should my student stay home sick?

Keep your student home if he/she has any of the following symptoms:

  • Fever/Chills
  • Vomiting/Diarrhea
  • Significant cold/flu symptoms that prevent participation in typical school activities. These may include runny nose, sore throat, headache, cough, body aches and/or fatigue.

To ensure a swift recovery and prevent the potential spread of infection, please keep your student home until free from vomiting, diarrhea and/or fever for 24 hours (without the use of fever reducing medication).

Students who develop these symptoms at school should report to the health office for evaluation and dismissal to home if appropriate. Please keep your student’s emergency contacts up to date in Infinite Campus.
