LT students registered to vote

In conjunction with the LaGrange Area League of Women Voters, LT hosted a day-long Voter Registration Drive at North Campus and registered nearly 700 voters. Students who will be 18-years-old by November 3, 2020, were eligible to register, and all who registered may vote in the Presidential primary on March 17, 2020, and in the Presidential general election on November 3, 2020.

This is a great way for students to engage in the political process. Over the past several years, the League’s annual registration drive at the high school has seen record-breaking numbers of registration. This year was no exception; LT registered 664 students - the second highest number in school history.

Student registrars and the League were available in the North Campus library from 7am-4pm and in the cafeteria during lunch periods. To register students only needed a driver’s license or state ID or know the last four digits of their social security number.
