The Theatre Board proudly presents Steel Magnolias. Faculty member Kristen Manthei is the director and junior Sawyer Reid is the assistant director.
Steel Magnolias is a play set in Louisiana in the 1980s and tells the story of a close-knit group of women and focuses on their unique friendships. All of the action occurs inside Truvy’s beauty shop—the center of all gossip and social interactions in the small town. The play has comedy, drama, but most importantly it tells the story of strong women supporting each other.
Performance dates are Friday, December 13, and Saturday, December 14, at 7pm, and Sunday, December 15, at 3pm in the North Campus Reber Center. All tickets are $10 and $5 for students and senior citizens. LT students will be admitted for free with an ID. Tickets may be purchased in the box office before the show. The theatre opens 30 minutes before the opening curtain.
