FASFA Application help

In August 2019, Governor Pritzker signed legislation requiring Illinois high school graduates in the class of 2021 and beyond to fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or an alternative form created by the Illinois State Board of Education as a part of their requirements to be eligible for their diploma. A waiver is posted on the College Center website for those who wish to decline.

Families who need assistance in completing the FAFSA can attend a virtual workshop. The LT College Center is cohosting a FAFSA Step-by-Step Workshop with ISACorps (Illinois Student Assistance Commission) that oversee financial aid for Illinois. The virtual workshop will take place on January 20, 6:30 to 8:30pm.  Registration is required and Spanish translators will be available.
