LT ranks among best in state and nation

Lyons Township High School was recently ranked among the best high schools in Illinois and the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report. Nearly 18,000 schools nationwide were ranked in the 2021 Best High Schools special report. LTHS was ranked 44th out of all Illinois schools and 28th out of all Illinois suburban public schools. Schools are ranked on their performance on state-required tests, graduation rate and how well they prepare students for college.

Superintendent Dr. Tim Kilrea said, “Once again, and even in the midst of a pandemic, this recognition affirms the dedication of LT’s talented students, teachers and staff.  Many thanks to the entire LT community for making LT the stellar school it is.”
