French cooking lessons - magnifique!

French 5 students participated in an immersion cooking class at the Alliance Française. They learned how to make authentic French food, including croissants au jambon/fromage - or ham and cheese croissants, crepes and a vinaigrette with Dijon mustard. The entire field trip was conducted in French with native speakers. The students learned new cooking vocabulary and gained a greater understanding of the culture around French food.

In French 5 classes, communication in the classroom (teacher-student and/or student-student) takes place in the target language as students continue to work to develop their competence through interpretive, interpersonal and presentational communication.
