One Click College Admit

In 2025, the State of Illinois launched a new program called ' One Click College Admit .' One Click College Admit is Illinois' direct college admission program into Illinois public institutions. Through this program, high school seniors and community college transfer students in Illinois will receive college acceptances into the state's public universities by meeting only one criterion for admission: grade point average (GPA). This program waives applications, application fees, essays, and letters of recommendation for students. Students who are interested must complete the Opt-In form . A parent must consent to you participating in the direct admission program if you are under 18 years of age. When accessing the Opt-in Form, you and a parent will create an account. If under 18, a parent will enter the required information for the Opt-in Form to be submitted.  You must opt-in by May 22, 2026 of your Junior Year.

• Universities providing Direct Admission include:

  Chicago State University, Eastern Illinois University, Governors State University, Northern Illinois University, Northeastern Illinois University, Southern Illinois University (Carbondale), Southern Illinois University (Edwardsville), Illinois State University, University of Illinois (Springfield) and Western Illinois University
   

• Universities not providing Direct Admission (but instead targeted outreach) include:

  University of Illinois (Chicago) and University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign)

Students will learn more about this program and create a  Common App account  at their year-end Group Guidance in late April.
