ACT with Writing - School Day
GENERAL INFORMATION
The ACT with writing is the state required assessment for students in 11th grade. The scores from this assessment can be submitted to colleges and universities as part of the college application process. This assessment is required by ISBE for graduation.
The ACT consists of four multiple-choice sections—English, mathematics, reading, and science—along with an optional writing test.
TEST DATE AND REGISTRATION
2024-2025 ACT School Day Test Dates and Registration Deadlines:
All students in grade 11 will be assessed on April 11, 2025 starting at 7:45 am. Seniors who did not test as Juniors will also be required to test. The test is approximately 4 hours long.
Since this is a graduation requirement, there is a makeup exam for students who miss the primary test date. These students will be contacted individually with information on how to makeup the exam.
Students with an IEP or 504 plan and students in the English Language Learner program may be eligible for testing accommodations. Please contact your case manager or READ HERE for more information.
