Dynamic Learning Maps - Alternate Assessment

The Dynamic Learning Maps – Alternate Assessment (DLM-AA) is administered in place of the PSAT/SAT to students with the most significant cognitive disabilities (typically associated with an IQ less than 55).

Students participating in the DLM-AA also have deficiencies in communication, self-care, home living, social/interpersonal skills, use of community resources, self-directions, functional academic skills, work leisure, health and safety. Students in grades 9, 10, and 11 are assessed in English Language Arts and Mathematics. Students in grade 11 also complete the Science portion of the DLM-AA instead of the Illinois Science Assessment.

2024-2025 DLM-AA Deadlines:

Students who qualify for the DLM-AA will be notified of their test dates and locations closer to the assessment window.
