Dynamic Learning Maps - Alternate Assessment
The Dynamic Learning Maps – Alternate Assessment (DLM-AA) is administered in place of the PSAT/SAT to students with the most significant cognitive disabilities (typically associated with an IQ less than 55).
Students participating in the DLM-AA also have deficiencies in communication, self-care, home living, social/interpersonal skills, use of community resources, self-directions, functional academic skills, work leisure, health and safety. Students in grades 9, 10, and 11 are assessed in English Language Arts, Mathematics and Science.
Test Date and Registration
2026-2027 DLM-AA Deadlines:
March 10 – May 5, 2027
Students who qualify for the DLM-AA will be notified by their case manager. The majority of grade 9 and 11 testing will take place on April 9, 2027. The majority of grade 10 testing will take place on April 8, 2027.
No registration is required for this assessment.
