BREADCRUMB

SAT

A national SAT® assessment is optional but recommended for students in grades 11-12 interested in applying for colleges. The scores from this assessment can be submitted to colleges and universities as part of the college application process. A national SAT does NOT meet the graduation requirement set forth by ISBE. This digital assessment contains four modules - two reading and writing and two mathematics. Calculators are allowed on both mathematics modules.

For the 2024-2025 school year, the state of Illinois will be transitioning the high school mandated assessment to ACT. Lyons Township High School recognizes that many of our juniors (Class of 2026) will want to finish the SAT suite they began their freshman year. To assist, LTHS will be providing one free SAT to juniors (Class of 2026). More information on this opportunity below.

Test Date and Registration

2024-2025 School Day SAT Sponsored by LTHS:

LTHS will be offering a free SAT to all juniors on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 7:30am. LT is offering this test to support junior students who have previously taken the PSAT 8/9, PSAT 10, and wish to complete the full SAT suite with a SAT. This test is optional and not required by LTHS or the Illinois State Board of Education.

Grade 11 students from LTHS who wish to participate in the LT sponsored SAT must register by February 21, 2025 to ensure we have enough proctors available to administer the assessment following College Board guidelines. We will not be able to accommodate students who register after February 21, 2025. There is no makeup date for this assessment.

Please register for the LT sponsored optional SAT HERE.
